Weekend (Dec. 14&15) cam install

Total time: 5.5hrs.

Existing cam: Ford stock .444 lift

Installing cam: Lunati 51014 blower cam (.510 lift)

Existing balancer: Wobbly stock unit

Installing balancer: Ford SVO

Existing timing chain: Ford weak unit

Installing timing chain: Cloye double roller

 

Wish I had some aluminum heads to go on it since I have it torn down this far. aaagggghhh!

Things went extremely well. No out of the ordinary occurrences during disassembly and reassembly. The only part besides intake and

timing cover gaskets were longer Grade 8 hex bolts for the harmonic balancer. I changed it from the stock to a Ford

SVO unit that required a spacer and thus longer bolts.

What a mess!
