#$#@$^$^$#@!!@#@!

The track is <===== that way!!!

****Yes, it's true! Too much power and a driver that needs some lessons. <grin> I finally got my transmission installed yesterday late in the evening and went to the track to do some T&T.

 First pass:
Off idle launch just to make sure everything was ok.
 1.82 60'
 7.16 sec 1/8 mile
 100.3 mph

 Second pass:
Setup the Speedbrain for "kill" mode and had the 20 shot of NOS ready.
Here's where things got a little "out of hand for the first time"
1.33 60' time with the rear wheels
I had to lift due to the fact that I was heading
 directly towards the
 guardrail!!!
 8.06 sec 1/8 mile
 54 mph

 Third..and yes, final pass:
Same setup as before, but I added more air to the passenger air bag (45psi total)
It launched again, but about 5 feet out KaaaaPooowwwWWW!!! the thing made and immediate left turn right into the guard rail, tapped the rail with the front end and spun 180* and slammed into the rail again with the passenger
side rear quarter panel. Oh the pain!!! I must of had 25 people run up to the car within nanoseconds after this happened. Even the ambulance crew were there in seconds (hats off to them). I had sheared off the driver side wheel studs, thus the immediate left turn. I have this on video too!!! You should of seen the crowd at the fence scramble for the "hills". I had pieces of my taillight assembly shower the people near the fence. No one was hurt, but I'm sure they won't be that close next time I run.

****It's important..no matter how busy things get to remember the "small" stuff. Like tightening the lug nuts before each pass!!****

1. The aftermath!!!

2. The front....now...that wasn't to bad.

3. After getting the new wheel studs installed we rolled the stang into "Outlaw's" garage to do some quick body work in preparation for Atlanta FFW!!

4. Luck and some great guys were on my side as we worked on this for 8hrs straight. We had people getting parts from where ever they could to make this thing happen. My hat goes off to all of my friends that helped me out of this ordeal!! The bumper cover came off of a wrecked 92 green mustang. The tail light assy. came off of an 89 LX and the front side marker was brand new.

5. Total cost of repairing this horrific damage... $115.00 and that included the PIZZA!!! The paint we used is some PlastiKote that I had laying around in my garage for 2 years. It's what I used to spray my roll bar and had some left over. Really!!

My hats off to these guys. In less than 24 hrs. from the time I crashed, they had my stang back together and looking good!! Without them, this wouldn't of been possible!! They wouldn't let me take their picture and put on my web page...then again, you probably wouldn't want to see their picture!! bahahaha.
